The Wellington County Museum and Archives ONLINE RESEARCH TOOL is currently under construction.

This consultation tool will give the researchers access to the Wellington County Museum and Archives artifact and archival collections. Currently our Heritage Sentinel database is only accessible through public access terminals found in the Archive’s Ada Currie Reading Room.

Our database describes the Museum’s collection of 14,000 artifacts and 30,000 archival records reflecting the history of the people, places and organizations of Wellington County. Significant artifact collections include textiles, agricultural implements, furniture and household wares. Archival records include photographs, maps, correspondence, diaries, assessment rolls, voters lists, newspapers and minutes. The ONLINE RESEARCH TOOL will be searchable using an individual or organizations name, place of residence, type of artifact (ie. Wedding dress) or archival record (photograph), creator, title and subject.

The ONLINE RESEARCH TOOL will only serve as a guide for researchers. A visit to the Wellington County Museum and Archives is recommended for additional and more extensive research.
