Rumely Oil Pull Tractor

Harvest Home Festival 2010

Oct 3, 2010

Part of Sensational Elora’s Festival of the Senses!

12 to 4pm
Admission is only $2 per person

Join us October 3th as we celebrate the sights, sounds, flavours, scents and feel of the harvest season!

Highlighting the afternoon’s events will of course be our ongoing threshing bee on the lower field. View the threshers in action; both man and machine as they thresh grain the “old fashioned” way. Relive the past through the unique sights and sounds of this favourite yearly event.

Vintage tractors again take centre stage on the front lawn, to the thrill of all ages – come and vote for your particular favourite. In addition to the threshing and tractors, we hope to have a great range of demonstrations, including, blacksmithing by The Ironwood Anvil, log squaring, rope making, quilting, lace making, cider pressing and sausage making!

Entertainment by Music with Brian and Puppets Elora.

We will also have our large artifact storage area open as well as the back doors of our barn, a great peek into an architectural treasure!

On-site food and refreshments will be available for purchase from the Jolly Friar Chip Wagon as well as home-style pies.

Also, the one millionth Green Legacy tree will be planted!

Don’t miss out! Join us for the afternoon, activities will run from noon to 4 pm. Enjoy all the events and activities for the special festival admission price of $2 per person.
