"Far From Home: A Soldier's Life At The Front, 1914-1918"

This major gallery installation features a lifesize trench and takes an indepth look at the young soldiers and nurses who served in World War I. A unique feature of this exhibit: the greatgrandsons of Wellington County soldiers were used as models for the mannequins in the trench display.

An Award of Merit was presented to the Museum & Archives for Outstanding Achievement in Programming/Interpretation from the Ontario Museum Association for this gallery.
